Common questions

Curious about how our pop-up bread stand works, how to order ahead, or what goes into our artisan bakes? Here are the details you need before joining us at the next stand.

Where can I find your pop-up stand?

Koinonia Kitchen is a small, home-based bakery pop-up in the heart of Widnsor! Our outdoor stand is a place to pick up fresh sourdough, homemade cookies, and sweet treats, all made in small batches and shared with love.

Check our live schedule page for upcoming dates and times!

Do you offer pre-orders for pop-up days?

Yes! We actually recommend placing pre-orders online ahead of time to reserve your favorite bakes. We will have your goods ready to go in a basket with your name on it for a seamless pick up!

What kind of ingredients do you use?

We rely on unbleached flours, filtered water, sea salt, and wild yeast starters. We believe in keeping bread pure, wholesome, and free from unnecessary preservatives.

Can I place an order when the pop-up is closed?

Absolutely! We are here to serve our community.

There is a two day wait for loaves (place order Monday before noon and receive it Wednesday) but all other goods will be ready to go the next day! We can expedite any baked goods but our loaves for a small fee!

Do you pre-slice any loaves?

Yes! We pre-slice our sourdough loaves upon request for an up charge of $1. Thickness is discuss upon request.

Do you accept custom flavor orders?

Absolutely! Our goal is to serve the community we’ve been blessed to be a part of, and we love hearing new ideas to try. We’re happy to discuss custom flavor options and see what we can create together!

We want every loaf to meet both our standards and yours, so custom flavors may require a few extra days. Pricing will vary depending on the requested additions.

What does Koinonia mean?

Koinonia is an ancient Greek word that speaks of fellowship, sharing and having something in common. It reflects our heartbeat: gathering community together around good food and giving praise to God.

How should I store artisan sourdough?

Keep your loaf cut-side down on a wooden board or in a breathable paper bag for the first couple of days. Avoid the refrigerator as it can cause bread to go stale faster.

Saving some for later? Sourdough also freezes beautifully when pre-sliced. Toast straight from freezer or let them thaw at room temperature.

Can I request custom loaves for special events?

We would love to help you with your special events! Get in touch with us to coordinate.
